Scooter/ Motorbike hire Locally from Monopoli	Cycle Hire and Events Whether you are a keen or recreational cyclist the beautiful views, traditional towns and range of terrain make the area very versatile. There are bicycle hire companies in Monopoli we can recommend. Bicycle tours or Douglas, who is a keen cyclist, can give you some tips or suggest routes with interesting sights to see. The Giro d'Italia bike race also runs through nearby towns.	Historic Car Shows
Zoo Safari at nearby Fasano. A drive through safari park, zoo and fair ground.	Horse Riding along the beach or cross country, we can put you in touch with tried and tested local riding schools.	Aqua Park New in 2013, on the coast road just outside of Monopoli. A good day out for the whole family.

The Cathedral in Monopoli Our most local city with lots of history, a fishing port and stunning Centro Storico and Castle which is popular for weddings and recently visited by Prince Harry.	Sea fishing Fresh seafood is available locally and there are trips so you can enjoy sea fishing yourself.	Presepe (Nativity) This Southern tradition takes part in historic towns and countryside caves. Local people show case their traditions from times gone by. From 26th December to 6th January.
Shop on the Beach! You can buy most things on the beach as this mobile shop shows.	Swimming and snorkelling You can swim in the sea year round, weather dependant. Temperatures have been as high as 20c mid day in winter months.	Live Music & Discos From folk to jazz, to rock, to pop, there is something to satisfy all tastes. For those who like a disco, there are some fabulous venues, from caves, beaches and Masserias.

Beach seller you can buy fresh fruit, jewellery, swimsuits and lots more at the beaches.	Beaches in the area are varied, some have cliffs, rocks and others are sandy with shallow waters, perfect for children. There are many private beaches which offer different facilities depending on your needs. We can also point you in the direction of some very nice public beaches close by.	Festivals & Carnivale Italians love a festival or the annual carnival procession, there is always lots going on, whether it is harvest, food or wine related. Enjoy local delicious delicacies entertainment and often wonderful firework displays.
Antiques Market There are some good monthly antique markets in the area, with everything ranging from old machinery to pottery, paintings and household wares.	Olives on sale at Monopoli Market All local towns have markets for fresh produce, clothing, shoes and home wares, Monopoli being our closest and one of the largest in the area.	Trulli at Alberobello A lovely half day visit to Alberobello is a must if this is your first time to Puglia. A Unesco World Heritage site. This region is world famous for these small conical homes, we even have one on the farm which we hope to renovate soon!
