Carnivale, Putignano

The oldest and one of the biggest carnivals in Italy. This is the 621st anniversary! A brilliant day for the whole family, with floats bigger than most houses, street performers, music, food, wine, food did we mention food and a museum exhibiting the history of the carnival, how papermaché is used for the construction, the characters and teams who spend all year turning their ideas into reality. Every year has a them and this year it is Giuseppe Verdi and his operas - expect something spectacular.

2015 dates - Saturday 31st January at 19.00, Sunday 8th February at 11.00, Sunday 15th February 11.00 and Tuesday 17th February at 19.00
